Leaderboarded, a web application for community managers to “motivate their tribe” by creating an online leaderboard, has today announced a major employee gamification initiative at Capgemini — marking a major social collaboration between one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology, and outsourcing services and the social data startup seeking to rewrite the rules of online leaderboards. This milestone follows on the heels of recent successful use cases of Leaderboarded, with clients including: SXSE London, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and MTV Australia.

Leaderboarded’s gamification elements will allow managers to guide behavior within Capgemini.  Points are collected and rewarded from multiple channels, including use of email, an intranet application and Capgemini’s enterprise social network, Yammer (over 30% of Capgemini staff are on Yammer).

Emmanuel Lochon, Head of Group Advertising, Capgemini said:

“With 120,000+ colleagues worldwide, making sure everyone understands what the Capgemini brand is about is essential for us. By working with Leaderboarded we were able to turn a traditional communication campaign into a campaign that allows for our team members to learn about the brand in a fun and interactive manner.”

Toby Beresford, CEO of Leaderboarded says:

“Many enterprises struggle to engage employees across multiple departments and geographies. A simple leaderboard that sits across multiple channels: email, intranet and the enterprise social network, offers a way to drive desired behavior in a controlled, repeatable way.

Leaderboards are an influence tool for the 21st century: they offer instant social proof and performance benchmarking for today’s staff. For employees who bring their own devices to work, inhabit multiple social networks and demand rapid feedback, the simple leaderboarded approach to gamification works.”
