Alix Levine, Director of Research at Cronus Global, examines the development and structure of online extremist communities. Many of today’s extremists interact within a subculture supported by online forums and bulletin boards. Many of these communities have begun to use gamified techniques to submerge visitors in the community, often with the goal of indoctrination.
