To preview some of the content, we will be kicking things off Thursday morning with “Making Retail Fun Again: Lessons in Engagement from GiltGroupe”, a fireside chat with Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, co-founder of GiltGroupe, and Divya Gugnani, founder of Send the Trend. They will share how gamification can transform the retail experience by building customer loyalty that isn’t based on giveaways.
Later in the day our keynote from Susan Bonds, CEO of 42 Entertainment will talk about “Big Media & Real Life: Gamifying the World for Fun & Engagement”. 42 Entertainment has led the advertising world in alternate reality games, with campaigns for blockbuster games and movies. Susan will give insight on how online user experiences with gamification can translate into real world, offline consumer engagement.
We also have a great list of featured sessions. To list just a few, Alix Levine, Director of Research at Cronus Global, will detail how gamification is used by extremists as a powerful tool and the importance of ethics in this growing field in “The Games Jihadis Play: Extremism, Recruitment and Gamification”. Educator Ananth Pai will share his amazing story in “Gamifying the Classroom: An Inspirational Teacher’s Story of Making Education Fun”
