The sports world has a new player in town and it’s being backed by Drew Brees and Rob Dyrdek. WedgeBuster is being called the “Zynga for sports” with its new gaming platform. The idea is that WedgeBuster aggregates the top sports, fantasy sports, and social sports games all within one place, or one app. By using the game mechanics (leveling, achievements, multiple currencies, engagement loops) that make social gaming so much fun, they’re able to create an engaging platform for sports & fantasy games. If Dyrdek has any say in parts of the business (maybe marketing & promotions), then there should be some fun for all of us in store for this young company.
