GSummit SF 2014 Speaker – Albert Balcells (Next Jump)

We were excited to have Albert Balcells join us this year at GSummit from Next Jump. Albert is the Co-head of Engineering at Next Jump (along with GSummit Speaker, Thomas Fuller). He’s also been a speaker at a past GSummitX NYC event. Below are his bio, video and slides from GSummit SF 2014:

Albert Balcells joined Next Jump in May 2007, and currently serves as SVP and Co-head of Engineering. He has held a variety of roles during his tenure, including Head of Product, and Head of UX. Prior to joining Next Jump, Albert served as the CTO of CoActive Marketing Group, a publicly traded marketing agency. Albert is originally from Barcelona, Spain. He began writing software on a Commodore 64, and jumped to PCs soon thereafter. He earned a grant from the National Science Foundation, holds a BS in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain, and a Master’s of Science in EE from the University of Utah.
