Priya Haji, CEO and founder of gamified financial startup SaveUp suddenly passed away last week at the age of 44. Over the last couple of years, I’ve had a chance to get to know Priya, and to see the amazing work she’s done on behalf of financial literacy and security for folks all over the country. Her energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject were infectious – something anyone who attended her amazing talk at GSummit 2013 will instantly remember. Moreover, the continued success of SaveUp prompted us to award Priya and her startup a GAward at GSummit 2014 for Best Use of Engagement in the Finance category.
Priya had a long history of changing the world, and I will truly miss her contribution to our community. Her legacy will live on in the amazing work that SaveUp has done, but also in her young kids (ages 1 and 2) who need our support.
