Ready, Set, Jet! The Social Learning Game

In late 2013, Gabe traveled to 12 cities worldwide for GSummit Global, a series of full-day workshops and meetups to bring GSummit closer to gamification fans. As a part of GSummit Global, we also released 10 new webinars and videos by gamification and engagement professionals. We will be releasing them publicly as we keep counting down to GSummit 2014.

Ryan Misuzaki (@rjmizu) is General Manager of the training team in Reservation Sales at Delta (@Delta), and two years ago, Delta embarked on a journey to introduce gamification in its e-learning environment. The problem was that many within the company did not consider e-learning a viable training solution – a hurdle that Ryan’s team decided to overcome with gamification while simultaneously improving job knowledge, customer service and cultural awareness of its front-line employees – Delta’s reservation agents.

Unlike previous training programs, where many games were used in e-learning, Ryan’s team decided to introduce e-learning into games. In this seminar, Ryan will walk you through the process that they went through to build a game for Delta’s learners, launch the game successfully, and the results the company has had since late October 2012.
